Yes. The Canadian FinTech & AI Awards are a not-for-profit initiative, and your ticket will help us pay for the Dinner, the A/V, the venue, and to purchase the Awards that we give out. Without your participation, we would not be able to host the Awards on an annual basis.
Yes. We encourage self-nominations since no one knows your achievements better than you. We’ve noticed through past experience that self-nominated companies tend to score higher with judges.
Nominations are submitted through an online form which is available to the public. The majority of nominations are submitted by people within the FinTech, banking and technology community, as well as clients, customers, business partners, employees and self-nominations.
All nominations submitted for an award are confidential, and shared only with the official Awards judges. As part of our Awards Privacy Policy, we do not disclose information regarding who submitted a nomination.
All of the award categories are quite different, and are designed to recognize different accomplishments. If your company qualifies for more than one award category, then you may nominate your company for each relevant category.
No, while we often get this request, we do not release the list of the people who attend the Awards Gala Dinner. We do however, disclose the organizations that are registered in advance for transparency.
This is a formal black tie event. Men are expected to wear tuxedos and women are expected to wear gowns.
The judging criteria is provided to the judges and is based on the criteria set out for each Award as described on our website.
